Medical Director Position Description
POSITION TITLE: Medical Director
RESPONSIBLE TO: 2435 Kinwest Board of Directors
JOB SUMMARY:
Ensures the ethical medical operations of the clinic and communicates with the Board and Clinic Director in regards to clinic needs. Oversees the clinic Practitioners per the TX Medical Board Regulations. Serves a voluntary three year term; elected and approved by the Board of Directors.
JOB DUTIES:
● Supervises staff and volunteers as it relates to medical personnel issues.
● Provides consultative services to Director regarding patient services
● Assists with development of protocols and procedures regarding medical care at the clinic.
● Assists in recruitment of medical provider volunteers
● Assists in the establishment of medical specialist contacts for patient referrals
● Reviews lab work and diagnostic procedure results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Licensed physician in Texas to practice medicine, in good standing with TX Medical Board
● Willingness to donate time needed to carry out duties and responsibilities
TIME COMMITMENT:
Varies based on volume of clients seen. Expect a minimum of 5 hours/week.
